Everyday usage of the service:
Each service user has their own customer relationship with Helpten. We give all customers their own user ID, which enables them to use the service easily with a computer, mobile phone or other terminal. The service works best with an ADSL-level connection and Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome all work as web browsers.
Equipment:
The equipment is installed under the dashboard of the vehicle. The fixed installation allows us to guarantee the operability of the service. The installation does not leave any visible traces. The only visible component is the journey categorisation switch (Journey Categorisation) and navigator (Helpten Navigate). Installation takes 1-2 hours.
The service is realized by means of a telematics array, which incorporates a driving computer made in Finland (Aplicom), GSM/GPS antennae and cables, a GSM-connection and a SIM card for information traffic, as well as maps with automatic updating.
Additional components include the Journey Categorisation Switch, a driver recognition system with iButton keys and a compatible Garmin navigator.
Installation:
Owing to our nationwide installation network, it’s easy to find a suitable installation time and location. After installation, the service is immediately ready for use and you receive personal ID codes for the Internet service.
